Natasha contacted me MONTHS ago about photographing Nadia‘s kitchen tea. Alongside Nadia’s mom, she was planning to throw Nadia a surprise kitchen tea. As I understand it, a lot of Nadia’s friends and family live overseas, so she wasn’t really expecting a kitchen tea or bachelorettes. Nadia is also a member at our church, and there were one or two moments during the last few months that I ALMOST let slip about the kitchen tea 😛 As a model, Nadia has a great appreciation for photos and having special moments photographed, so I was really excited to be a part of the day.

Natasha and Udene went through so much trouble to make Nadia’s day super special – it was a picnic themed kitchen tea held at Cherry on Top. It was a beautiful (HOT) summer’s day so sitting outside in the shade was perfect. Natasha had a “Memory Book” printed for Nadia that all her guests could scrapbook in during the day. It was filled with photos of her and Petre as well as inspirational quotes, recipes and space for each lady to write their own message inside.

Nadia is absolutely crazy about her doggies – they are like children to her, so naturally they had to be a part of her special day. Meet Prince {left} and Angel {right}

Part of the gifts that Nadia would receive during the day was a box filled with letters from each of her guests. This box was to be packed away and read on her and Petre’s 1st wedding anniversary.

Even though Udene said that Nadia had suspicions about a kitchen tea, she was still super surprised when she got there and her blindfold was taken off!

After greeting everyone it was time for some games… Nadia was asked a few questions about Petre – when she got one right, she could open a gift; if she got one wrong…

Nadia was very excited when her mom gave her a French press saying “Mom, you know me so well!”

Once Nadia had finished answering the questions about Petre, it was time for her guests to answer questions about her. When they got one wrong they had to choose a scroll and do whatever was written in it – it ranged from naming your most embarrassing moment to giving Nadia some wedding advice.

Each lady got to leave with a beautiful Thank You gift

Nadia and Petre are getting married in just 2 weeks on the beaches of Zanzibar! Their wedding will be photographed by the incredibly talented Brett Florens.
Nadia, thank you for having me share a moment in your life story, I wish you and Petre a lifetime of happiness!
