This website has been under construction for years…
It’s probably been at least 5 years that I’ve been wrestling with what to do with this space. It’s been about that long that I felt that this was more than just a space to share my photography but I wasn’t sure what that “more” was 🤔
I see sawed between listening to the voices telling me to “focus on one thing” and the (often much louder) voice saying that that felt untrue to who I am. So I waited – for clarity, certainty, direction… and now all these years later I think I realise that I was searching for identity
It’s incredibly hard to know how to show up authentically when you don’t know who you are

We stack achievements, labels, and titels up neatly and call it an identity but when we strip it away – who are we? Yes it’s cliché and I realise it’s an age old question along with “why am I here” but I need to start this way so that we can set some ground rules…
This is my space: a little part of the internet that I get to occupy with my thoughts, feelings and opinions. It’s messy because so I am (organised chaos is the term I prefer). It doesn’t fit a particular box because I have various interests, hobbies and businesses, and it’s still, in it’s own way “under construction” because I’m hoping it will evolves with me as I do

As the titel of this post suggests, there are parts of my website still aren’t perfect. As a recovering control freak I am building it myself so there are some resource libraries that will still be built, some links that might not work (gosh I hope not), and many, many drafts that still need to be published BUT if I’m learning anything it’s that if I wait until it’s perfect I’ll never do the damn thing! 😅
If you spend any amount of time browsing around I think you’ll see that this space isn’t meant to be a place of perfection anyway 🤫 I’m not a perfect wife or Mom or human! 🙈 And I don’t want this to be a space where I pretend otherwise. I’m hoping that this will be a space where you can laugh, cry, say “me too” and hopefully find help, advice and inspiration.
Let’s be honest… we’re all out here trying to do our best with what we have!
“When we give ourselves permission to be imperfect, when we find self-worth despite our imperfections, when we build connection networks that affirm and value us as imperfect beings, we are much more capable of change”
