Michelle and I have known each other since high school. We were, together with Mieke & Jamie, practically inseparable. Back in 2009, just after I discovered Photoshop, I posted a shoot I had done with the 4 of us (thank goodness my Photoshop skills + photography skills have improved since then!). Everyone has to start somewhere so don’t judge me 😉
Just 22 days before her wedding, Michelle emailed me to ask if I could be their photographer! She said in the email that she hadn’t asked me before because she felt bad asking me to work when I was actually invited to the wedding as a guest. What few people realize is that I LOVE what I do and most of the time, being a guest, I sit there thinking “damn, I wish I could get a better angle…” Hehe! Their photographer was a family friend and Michelle was starting to feel uncertain about their decision to have her take their photos. After looking through my portfolio and seeing my prices, they decided to hire me!
David & Michelle have also been together since almost right after high school so everyone had been waiting for this day for a while! So on the morning of the 28th of February, I was off to the beautiful Avianto to photograph one of my best friends’ wedding!
Michelle’s dress was just gorgeous!
Absolutely LOVE this photo of David & his groomsmen!
Gah! Michelle, you’re beautiful!
Here’s Jamie 🙂 (Mieke lives in America now with her hubby, otherwise she would’ve been here too)
Hello lovely ladies! Don’t they just look like they’re having a blast? 🙂
Michelle really is one of the kindest, sweetest people you will ever meet! She has a heart of gold and a silver screen starlet beauty about her – David is a lucky man!
Michelle wasn’t nervous all day, right up until the moment when she stood outside the chapel and realized that she was about to get married! I love that I caught her expression at that moment!
I took a series of shots when Michelle entered the church. In each one David looks so happy and fighting a few tears and Jamie is just bawling in the background 😉
Not your usual bridal portrait but when Michelle and David asked if they could have a smoke break it reminded me of those old cigarette ads…
Then off to the party…
When all else fails – use your underplate to check your makeup 😛
First dance as Mr & Mrs Trant
Why does it feel like most wedding receptions end up with the groom and his groomsmen wearing their ties on their heads? Must make them feel like ninjas – or something
Thank you for allowing me to capture your day guys! So happy for you and wish you a super blessed future together!
